Webinar - Project support in chemical biology and drug discovery

The chemical biology unit (CBCS) and the Drug discovery and development (DDD) platform at SciLifeLab have calls out for projects.

CBCS is looking for Chemical Biology projects, including assay development for small molecule screening and profiling and enabling chemistry.

The DDD platform has a call looking for new project proposals for drug discovery. All therapeutic modalities that can be developed in collaboration with the DDD platform at SciLifeLab are of interest, including small molecules, antibodies, oligonucleotides and new modalities.

Some users and projects are at the intersection between chemical biology and drug discovery. This webinar aims to guide users to the call that best suits the needs of their project.

Please, register for the event HERE.

Call for Larger Project Support from CBCS

The mission of CBCS is to explore complex biology by developing and applying small molecule tools. To do this we provide support in assay development, small molecule screening, enabling chemistry as well as access to small-molecule libraries. Our services have recently expanded to include disease and compound profiling using Cell Painting, support for functional precision medicine projects, screening in BSL3 of viruses and other infectious agents, and automated patch clamp profiling/screening.

Now we are looking for projects in these areas to support starting late 2022/early 2023. All applications are ranked by our external project review committee based on scientific potential and feasibility. Prioritized projects receive subsidized support. We require a demonstration of technical feasibility; thus, it is a requirement that you contact CBCS well in advance of the final deadline. Click here for your nearest point of contact. We will support you during the application steps and guide you through the process.

Remember to register for our webinar on the 15th of August here

Project Review Committee dates for Spring 2020 POSTPONED!

UPDATE 20th March 2020

Due to limited resources and prolongations following the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we have currently no capacities to support full projects in the coming term.

We must therefore postpone the planned project review committee (PRC) meeting in May 2020 to the autumn, with a new Project review application deadline in October 2020.

Nevertheless, we encourage you to keep in contact for compound access (delivery of assay ready plates), to discuss the possibility for open access to our lab or for intellectual input in preparation for an application in the autumn.

For more information, please get in touch with the Directors under contact.
